SO THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE: Greetings Rat Boy

I'm just getting used to this whole blog thing. It has given me some hope that I will eventually link up with interesting people, men who want to think, build, and explore in a climate that would have us sleep, knock-down, and stagnate. Greetings to Rat Boy's Anvil. Clicking through your site I came across Hube's articule who about Closeted Athletes. The note about Ed Gallagher, a 1980's offensive linesmen who tried to commit suicide because "he was unable to reconcile his own image of himself as an athlete with gay urges." I found very significant, - even today. Yes, we men have a long way to go...thanks for the mention, Rat Boy.

  1. Hey there,

I have a profound affection for anyone who makes a point of examining their own process and decides that it is more important to consider themselves a verb rather than a noun.

Reading your posts and those of your partner and at a distance piecing together the mosaic that is your immediate and found "family" (as opposed to the one you were simply born into), I am stunned by the vitality and energy through which you all seem to demand truthful change and self-discovery.

I admire what you are doing and would love to engage in on-going dialogues with you about it all.

You are more than welcome for the mention, I think many more people should be aware of what you are doing.

Keep the faith...it is obviously working.

ps: Sorry for the delay in reply...had to work over the weekend and had little time.
